Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer said Monday both the murder weapon and the vehicle they were traveling in have been recovered.
Aiden was killed on May 21 while his mother was driving him to kindergarten. He was sitting in a booster seat on the right rear passenger side when someone in another vehicle opened fire.
Aiden was rushed to Children’s Hospital of Orange County, where he was pronounced dead.

His girlfriend, who is listed as unemployed on jail records, is the daughter of Taiwanese immigrants who grew up in the San Gabriel Valley.
