Former Marshall University linebacker Jaquan Yulee reportedly died on Tuesday, July 13. Yulee’s death was confirmed by a number of people on social media, who mourned his loss.

The cause of Yulee’s death is determined to be a car accident. Additional details related to the unfortunate demise of Jaquan are yet to uncover.

Yulee, who is from Suffolk, Virginia, was the son of his father, Fred Yulee, and mother whose identity isn’t revealed. He shared a very close relationship with his father, Fred, but shared that things weren’t right between him and his mom.

Jaquan Yulee Spine Injury 2019

Yulee who played as Marshall’s defensive linebacker had to withdraw from the 2019 season after suffering a spine injury. Following the accident that caused an injury to his spine, Jaquan had to be pulled from the squad for the season.

He underwent surgery and in less than 24 hours since the medical procedure, he took to Instagram to let his fans know that he would be back on the field once he’s ready to play.

Jaquan Yulee Was Set To Play Again

Yulee entered the transfer portal last August and was set to make a comeback at another program in the 2021 season. He was also planning to announce what school he was transferred to this week.

One of Jaquan’s last tweets read- “I know what school I will be attending next fall stay tuned #HBCU”
