In the 4th round of the 2016 MLB draft, Shane Bieber was selected by the Cleveland Indians and entered the pros. After the contract, Bieber made his professional debut at the A-class Mahoning Valley Scrappers under the umbrella. He pitched in 8 games (7 starts) and recorded an ERA of 0.38 and 21 strikeouts.
In 2017, Bieber played for A-class Lake County Captains, A class Lynchburg Hillcats, and AA-class Akron RubberDucks, starting in 28 games for the three teams. Bieber won ten matches and five losses with 2.86 and 162 ERA and recorded a strikeout.
In 2018, Bieber started with AA-class Akron and was promoted to AAA-class Columbus Clippers on 3rd May. On 25th May, Shane achieved a no-hitter no- run against the AAA-class Gwinnett Stripers under the Atlanta Braves seven times in the cold while it was raining.

After this match, he was demoted to AAA-class Columbus, but when he won his first major victory with the same card on 17th June, he entered the starting rotation. Shane won four consecutive victories until the match against Kansas City Royals on 3rd July.
