Blair Cobbs Father, Mother, Sister
The Las Vegas, based professional boxer, Blair, had a tough time as a teenager. He lost his mother and grandmother earlier in his life and had to deal with all the consequences that came along. During an interview, Blair expressed; how he lost his mother to an unfortunate incident.
In Blair’s words,
My mother passed away in a really strange event. There was a party on a yacht, and a few people passed away when they fell asleep and because the yacht was leaking carbon monoxide.
Then he further added on the demise of his grandmother, which changed things completely for him and his sister,
My grandmother had cancer, and she didn’t make it. That was the nail in the coffin, as far as me and my sister’s existence, because she knew and maybe one or two other people knew that my father was living a very fast life. If anything was to go wrong, and he still had kids that needed to be raised, my grandmother was that person. She got us.”
With only his father left in the family to take care of him, Blair and his sister had no choice to move along where their father took them.
Moving on, the series of hapless incidents didn’t stop for Blair; as in the year 2004, Blair’s father Eugene Cobbs escaped with his children to Mexico, after crashing a private plane at the Wheeling Ohio County Airport in West Virginia.
As per the reports, Blair’s father fled the scene and left behind 525 pounds of cocaine worth $24 million. The incident led U.S. marshals on a manhunt that ended in Mexico, where Cobbs had brought his two teenage children.
Blair described the horrific situation where he had to flee with his dad carrying the fair of being killed at any point in time. He stated,
I had to flee, too, It was, like, prepare to die. You could die the very next day. You could die any day of the week and nobody would know, and nobody would care. And I had to survive that.
