Edison and his girlfriend got engaged after dating for 3 years and the engagement was indeed very special. Leslie took to her Instagram to describe how everything unfolded and shared a special story with her fans. In a long captioned post she wrote,
When we first started to get to know each other three years ago, I realized I liked him but didn’t know how to exactly flirt… so my way was to roll up a piece of toilet paper into a ring, get down on one knee, and jokingly ask him to marry me. I think he thought it was silly but he put the tissue paper ring on anyway.
After that, they dated for 3 months (Long distance) where they discovered their mutual love for solving Rubik’s cube. Edison, being the sweetest guy that he is; used to stay until 6 am in the morning, teaching Leslie how to solve the cube faster. That is how they knew each other better.
Three months later, Edison flew down to visit Leslie. And in the meantime, he offered Leslie a ring box; painted like a partially solved Rubik’s cube.
The box represented their relationship; just getting started. The only purpose of painting the box that way was with the hope that he’ll get it painted as fully solved Rubik’s cube one day!
Inside the box was a tissue paper ring that Leslie gave him 3 months before. Edison then asked Leslie to officially be his girlfriend.
Fast forward to April 7th (three years later) Edison pulled out the same ring box; now, painted to be fully solved. Also, the ring got replaced and instead of the tissue ring, it was Edison’s mother’s ring.
