XXXTentacion was found alive in the woods in South Florida, according to a fake news article. An article was published on Trend-News on April 15, 2019, saying that XXXTentacion had been found alive. Another fake news site, YouReact247, published a similar article giving the specific fake location where XXXTentacion was found, the woods in South Florida.

The fake article from Trend-News claims that XXXTentacion faked his own death as a means to “punk his fans for a new concept album.” That fake album will be called “The Dangers of Fake News.” The fake album is due to be released in 2019 and fans could listen on “XXX’s Spotify.” While the YouReact247 article alleges that since being found, XXX will be forced to serve six months in prison.

Trend-News is a website that was set up so that people could create “news articles” in order to play pranks. The disclaimer for the site reads,

“This website is an entertainment website, jokes are created by users. These are humorous jokes, fantasy, fictional, that should not be seriously taken or as a source of information.”

However, the rapper has been confirmed dead by the local Broward Sheriff office. His manager has also released a statement confirming his death, stating that the artist “tragically passed away from a gunshot wound”. An arrest has since been made and the suspect charged. Police are also looking for an accomplice.

Some fans think he faked his own death

There has been speculation by some fans on social media that the rapper is still alive and faked his own death – despite official confirmation of his passing from authorities.

One of the conspiracy theory is that the video from the crime scene shows no blood, shattered glass, bullet holes and also the rapper’s forehead tattoo is missing in the clip, suggesting that the individual depicted could be a double.

Did XXXTentacion predict his own death?

“If worse thing comes to worst, and I fucking die or some shit and I’m not able to see out my dreams, I at least want to know that the kids perceived my message and were able to make something of themselves and able to take my message and use it and turn it into something positive and to at least have a good life,” he said in an Instagram live.

The rapper continued: “If I’m going to die or ever be a sacrifice, I want to make sure that my life made at least five million kids happy or they found some sort of answers or resolve in my life regardless of the negative around my name, regardless of the bad things people say to me.”

Fans have claimed that the clip was his “last” Instagram Live video before his death, but it’s not currently known when exactly the video is from.

An old video has people believing he is alive

In August 2017, XXXTentacion shared a clip that appeared to show him taking his own life. It was later revealed that the incident was a publicity stunt ahead of the rapper’s ‘Look At Me’ music video, released in September 2017.

Following XXXTentacion’s death, an old video has been circulated of the rapper saying that he was still alive and that his apparent ‘death’ was part of a music video. While a number of fans believed it to be current, the clip actually dated back to August 2017.

One such video is posted on youtube with the title “XXXTentacion found alive in woods?”. The content of the video shows a page from Snopes.com which we have already discussed above.

Another youtube video posted on 15th April with the title “XXXTENTACION FOUND ALIVE APRIL 15TH 2019!!!” is also indeed fake news.
