Heather Dinich’s Childhood, Education and Family

Ethnically white and nationally American, Heather Dinich was born on October 25, 1974, in Indiana. Heather, now 45 years of age, was born to Dave Dinich and Carol Dinich, and she shares her family with two brothers. Heather always wanted to be a journalist as a child, and now is living her dream. 

Additionally, Heather has also been a sports fan for all her life, so her job couldn’t get any more ideal for her. Heather is also a big fan of horses, ever since she was a child she has loved horses and talks a lot about it, making horse-riding one of her favorite activities. 

As for her educational background, Heather Dinich completed high school from the Pottsville Area High School. Dinich graduated from the school in 1997, then moved on to further education at Indiana University. Dinich got her journalism degree from Indiana University and soon graduated in 2001.

After her internship came to an end, Heather Dinich officially joined the Baltimore Sun. With the Baltimore Sun, Dinich kept improving her resume and skills, gradually becoming a great sports journalist. Dinich continued covering men’s basketball as well as football games from the University of Maryland. 

Her time with Baltimore Sun came to an end after three years, and she finally joined ESPN in 2007. At the start of her career in ESPN, Dinich initiated her time as a writer for the Atlantic Coast Conference. Outside reports, Heather also wrote blog posts as well as game stories. Her work featured on the ESPN website, and this continued for six years. 

Finally, after six years, Heather Dinich was moved to a position to cover College Football playoff games, starting in 2013. Since she has to report college football games, Heather Dinich travels all over the USA, visiting various colleges and their football games.
