Trey Mancini Cancer Update
Sara and Trey are just a year into their relationship and have experienced a lot together. Just as they began dating, Trey was diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer in March 2020. And amidst the covid-19 pandemic, he even had to undergo surgery to remove a malignant tumor.
After his surgery in March, Mancini began chemotherapy at Johns Hopkins, Perlman wasn’t able to accompany him, but she remained by his side always.
Sara, who only made her relationship with Trey public in June of 2020, shared how they dealt with Trey’s health issues. She wrote,
From Trey’s cancer diagnosis to quarantine, this has been a wild few months. But I feel really lucky and blessed to say that he is over halfway done with treatments!!!
We can also check home nurse off the list because taking out his medication and take-home IV is a piece of cake now 🙂 People come into your life for a reason and I’m so glad our jobs had us cross paths. Super proud of you and your strength on a daily basis.
As for now, Trey has recovered well and is back on the baseball field, doing what he knows best.
