At the beginning of her career, Thomas called every TV and radio station in her area to ask for a vacancy. She eventually landed on a radio station and made her way into the air for a part-time promotional job.
That’s when she learned of a new children’s satellite radio station, scheduled for launch in late 2001. She wrote a seven-page memoir offering a show that looked like a child and that showed live from her childhood bedroom’s dresser clothes. When she got the job, Thomas was 22.
Thomas is the host of the unprecedented Absolutely Mindy Show. On Sirius XM’s Kid’s Place Live Channel, where Mindy served as Program Director for 10 years, she can be heard on weekdays morning.
She has shown that child programming, without losing an ounce of insanity, can be intelligent, interesting, and convincing for children and adults. She talks to fancy friends and takes children on unbelievable fantasy adventures.
