She was then taken to Germany as a war prisoner; but, Patton’s Army liberated her. She then moved to London, stayed there for a while, and then again moved to Ireland. There she earned her medical degree and moved to the USA. She became a US citizen of which she was proud of till her last day.

After graduating from school in 1985, he enrolled in Vassar College to earn his degree In BA in 1989. he enrolled in the United States Naval War College to earn his MA degree but he has to interrupt his study as he got the opportunity to join the Bush Administration.

Marc first began his career at the lobbying firm Black, Manafort, Stone, and Kelly for five years. Till 2001, he served as spokesman and senior policy adviser to Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Jesse Helms on Capitol Hill. In 2001, he also served as chief speechwriter for Donald Rumsfeld, and in 2004, he moved to George W. Bush administration to work as a speechwriter for the president. In 2009, along with Peter Schweizer, he founded the communications firm, Oval Office Writers LLC.

He has been a visiting fellow at Hoover Institution and a resident fellow at American Enterprise Institute since 2009. in 2010, he joined the Washington Post to work as a columnist since then his columns have been the top reason for the increasing sales of the post. He has always been outspoken throughout his career and was in the front line to criticize the Obama administration. In 2020, he even showed his support for President Donald Trump’s decision to assassinate Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.

Marc is married to Pamela Thiessen for many blissful years now. Pamela is working as a staff director of the United States Senate Republican Policy Committee. the couple had four beautiful children, three sons and one daughter aged 18, 17, and 14 years old twins.

The marriage is still growing strong and Marc never loses the opportunity to teach his children his values that he learned from his mother. In 2019, August, Marc took his children to Warsaw along with his mother to show the effects of the war, how their grandmother survived the struggle, and never to take their freedom and peace for granted.

Marc’s mother died just recently in November 2020 at the age of 92.
