Gretchen Whitmer Bio: Parents, siblings, family
Gretchen was born on August 23, 1971, in Lansing, Michigan. She is an American citizen and belongs to white ethnicity. Her birth sign is Virgo and is 49 years old (2020).
She is the blessed eldest daughter of her parents: Sharon H. Sherry Reisig and Richard Whitmer. Her parents were both attorneys, the father being the head of the state department of commerce, and mother worked as assistant attorney general under Michigan Attorney General Frank Kelley. Before getting elected as the Governor of Michigan, Gretchen was elected as House of Representatives in 2002 and 2004. Later, In 2011, her Democratic colleagues chose her to be the Senate Democratic Leader, making her the first woman to lead a party caucus in the Senate.
Afterward, in 2017, she declared to run for the 2018 Michigan governor. Luckily, she won on all 83 counties in the state and became the Democratic Governor of Michigan on August 7, 2018.
Gretchen served 14 years in the Michigan Legislature, six years in the House, and eight years in the Michigan Senate– the last four as the Senate Democratic Leader.
Similarly, she was the first woman to lead a Senate caucus in Michigan history and served in three administrations.

On March 2020, she sent a strict, stay at home order, and also wrote a letter to Donald Trump, for medication help for Michigan. In response, he tweeted,

Afterward, when the situation worsened, Trump again tweeted,
“I love Michigan, one of the reasons we are doing such a GREAT job for them during this horrible Pandemic. Yet your Governor, Gretchen “Half” Whitmer is way in over her head, she doesn’t have a clue. Likes blaming everyone for her own ineptitude!
The tension is still between the two politicians, and a series of tweets as well. On 9 October 2020, Donald Trump tweeted again,

Gretchen Whitmer Husband / Divorce
Gretchen is a married woman. Her first marriage was with Gary Shrewsbury, whose profession is yet unknown. Their marriage was a rough one, resulting in separation. Although the divorce, they share two beautiful children, named Sherry and Sydney Shrewsbury. At the court, after the trial, the decision was passed that Gretchen had the full custody of her daughters.
