In 2017, Victoria Vesce was diagnosed with multiple Paraganglioma, which is an ab rain-skull tumor and a carotid body tumor. Although she visited many doctors and hospitals, she was undiagnosed for almost 6 months.
Following her diagnosis, Victoria was referred to Duke University Hospital. Right before her birthday, she was told that she had another tumor. She underwent risky surgery in May 2017 and went through a six-week recovery time. Victoria then had to do 30 rounds of experimental radiation treatment. She is now completely deaf in her right ear.
Vesce does a lot of work with the National Brain Tumor Society which helped her immensely during her radiation treatments at Duke Cancer Institute.
