David D Dorn was a 77-year-old retired St Louis police captain, who served 38 years on the force, was shot and killed by looters at a pawn shop.
Dorn was killed while responding to an alarm at a pawn shop early Tuesday, St. Louis Police Department announced.
David had been killed around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, dying on the sidewalk in front of the pawn store he had been providing security for.
