The former Minnesota Vikings QB was married to his name who goes by the name Lakitta Jackson. Jackson and his wife are speculated to be married since the year 2014. Out of the conjugal life, Travaris and his wife were blessed with three children – Tarvaris, Takayla, and Tyson Jackson.

Talking about Jackson’s relationship with his wife; back in 2016, the quarterback was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife. On a Friday night in June 2016, he was charged on an aggravated assault charge after allegedly pulling a gun on his wife at a vacation home near Orlando, Florida.

According to a police report, Jackson arrived home and kicked in the upstairs bedroom door before getting into a verbal altercation with his wife. Jackson then pointed a loaded gun at her and said, “I’ll kill you.” Per Chris Hush of WESH-TV in Orlando, Jackson’s wife responded, “You better be accurate, because you ain’t accurate on the field.” A witness reportedly grabbed Jackson to prevent him from shooting. The then 33-year-old was arrested and booked at Osceola County Jail and was released Saturday morning on $2,500 bond.

Former NFL quarterback Tarvaris Jackson died in a car crash on Sunday night, April 12th, 2020. He was 36 at the time of death, however, his 37th birthday was due on 21st April. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Jackson died in a crash in Alabama as per a spokesperson for Tennessee State University.

Jackson was a former second-round pick out of Alabama State by the Vikings in 2006. He spent five seasons in Minnesota, starting 20 games. The signal-caller generated his most prolific season as a 14-game starter for the Seattle Seahawks in 2011, throwing for 3,091 yards and 14 TDs.

Jackson then spent one year with the Buffalo Bills but did not play in a regular-season game. The veteran returned to Seattle as a backup to Russell Wilson from 2013-2015, where he earned a Super Bowl ring.

Jackson transitioned into coaching in 2018, joining Alabama State as a quality control coach and QB coach. He moved to TSU in 2019.

Jackson played quarterback for 10 years in the NFL, and got into coaching in 2018 at Alabama State following the end of his playing career in 2015 with Seattle. He is best remembered at the NFL level for his 2011 season in Seattle that saw career highs in starts (15), yards (3,091) and passing touchdowns (14).

Jackson began his college career at Arkansas where he spent three seasons with the Razorbacks before a transfer to Alabama State. Further, he coached quarterbacks in 2018 with his alma mater, before he joined the Tennessee State staff in 2019.
