Sarah Feinberg Career
Prior to starting Feinberg Strategies, Feinberg served as the administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration. The FRA serves as the sole safety regulator of the U.S. rail system. Feinberg was nominated for this post by President Obama and later confirmed by the Republican-led U.S. Senate.
As FRA administrator, Feinberg developed and enforced rail safety regulations; managed a multi-billion dollar rail-investment portfolio; and led research and technology development programs. Sarah was the second woman to lead the agency of nearly 1,000 employees in Washington, D.C. and eight regional offices across the country.
Also, before joining FRA, Feinberg served as US DOT chief of staff. There, she provided strategic advice and counsel to the secretary of transportation regarding operational and legislative initiatives across all modes of transportation.
From 2009-2010, Feinberg was indulged in the Obama administration as a special assistant to the president and senior advisor to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel.
Moreover, Feinberg has also served on the Amtrak Board of Directors during her time as the FRA administrator and currently serves on the StoryCorps Board of Directors.

Ms. Feinberg, back in time, was married to Howard Daniel Pfeiffer from the year 2006 to 2011. Sarah’s ex-husband, Howard Daniel Pfeiffer, is an American activist, podcaster, and former Senior Advisor to U.S. President Barack Obama for Strategy and Communications
Sarah and Mr. Pfeiffer met in 2000 while working for Al Gore’s election campaign. He was the northeast communications director, based in Nashville, and she was in Charleston as the West Virginia press secretary.
They spoke on the phone about 10 times a day for four months, but did not meet until that December, at a postelection reception for the campaign staff at the vice president’s mansion in Washington.
After being in a relationship for about 5 years, Sarah got married to Daniel on 15th June 2006. But their marriage only lasted for 5 years as they got divorced in 2011.
