Michel Doukeris on Corona Virus Pandemic
Distiller Anheuser-Busch’s Budweiser is joining its sports partners to help deal with the fallout from the coronavirus crisis by repurposing its plants and logistics network to produce hand sanitizer and utilize disused stadiums as blood donation centers for the American Red Cross.
The brewer has pledged to donate $5m to the non-profit organization as it redeploys cash earmarked for sports and entertainment toward containing the outbreak, as well as allocating its media airtime toward relaying public service announcements.

“Covid-19 has changed how we all live our lives, but it hasn’t changed Anheuser-Busch’s priorities and our commitments as an employer, a business partner, and a corporate citizen.
“While we can’t solve this crisis on our own, we are proud to do what we can to serve and support our communities in need and the heroes on the front lines, using our capabilities, our relationships, and our reach to do our part. Michel, who was is Brazilian by nationality, was born in the year 1973 and is 47 years of age now. He is currently serving as Zone President North America at Anheuser-Busch InBev.
Prior to that, he was a Member of the Executive Board of Management of the Company until January 1, 2019. Doukeris also served as Chief Sales Officer, Member of the Executive Board of Management for Anheuser-Busch InBev between January 1, 2017, and January 1, 2018.
Furthermore, Michel was also associated with Anheuser-Busch InBev as Zone President Asia Pacific, Member of the Executive Board of Management from January 2013 to December 31, 2016. Altogether, Michel has been serving for almost ten years at Anheuser-Busch InBev as he joined the company back in 2010 as a President, China.
