Describing her hobbies, passion, and goal in life, Amy once expressed her outlook towards life, stating:
Travel is one of my great passions. Over the years, I have spent time working in new, and often challenging environments. I love meeting new people and quickly settle into any team. These experiences have rubbed off on my attitude to life, work, and design, enabling me to approach problems with an open mind and an unusual perspective.
I am a great believer in giving new life to objects, and can often be found raking through local charity shops in search of my next project. Over the past couple of years, I have combined this with the renovation of my flat, resulting in a quirky, creative and homely environment.
As an active and enthusiastic individual, I enjoy visiting the gym, cycling and jogging around my local area, as well as the occasional surf trip (when I can find the time…and brave the cold waters of Scotland!).

Amy Corbett Education / Career
Amy, who attended Eastwood High School and the University of Glasgow for her eductaion, wrote about her education and work in one of her bio, which reads,
A recent graduate in Product Design Engineering – a course jointly run by the Glasgow School of Art and University of Glasgow – I have discovered a true passion for a user-centered approach to design. The course aims to bridge the gap between design and engineering, covering everything from research and the creation of initial concepts, to applying engineering theory and design for manufacture, inducing an approach; which is both practical and creative.
My Work
Throughout my education, I have continually excelled in all aspects of my work, relishing challenges and approaching each with a positive, enthusiastic attitude, resulting in an MEng (Hons) of the First Class. I feel the course has given me a broad skill-set, providing a solid base which I am keen to build upon. I work well both as an individual and as part of a team and find myself flourishing in fun, creative environments.
Through latter projects, I discovered a talent for creating fun, playful and often, unexpected, design solutions. I especially enjoyed projects in which I had the chance to work closely with users, together creating simple solutions to everyday problems. Some of my most successful projects have tended towards family-oriented design, an area; which I would enjoy working at some point in my career. For now, I am keen to expand my skill base, learning and developing as a designer in any creative environment.
