Chuck Gaidica Bio: Age, Mother, Father
The founder of Journey Strong, Chuck Gaidica, was born on 2nd August 1958 to his parents, Mother Geri, and Father Charlie Gaidica Sr in Chicago. Chuck is now 61 years of age and, sadly, he lost both his parents last year.
Gaidica’s father passed away in January 2019 from a brain tumor, whereas he lost his mother a couple of months later in May. Chuck’s mother dealt with Alzheimer’s for an extended period before she passed.
Moreover, Geri’s struggle with Alzheimer’s refrained her from attending her husband’s funeral. Talking about the matter, Chuck once opened up in an interview and explained; why he and his family didn’t even tell her mother about his father’s death,
A person with Alzheimer’s — when you tell them about the death of a loved one and they forget about that death and they say tomorrow, ‘Where’s daddy?’ — and you have to tell them again and again and again, and it just becomes — I guess it could almost be looked at like abuse, if you will, if you have to keep having to tell someone, ‘Well, they’re dead,
Chuck also joined the Alzheimer’s Association– as chairman of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Metro Detroit to help end Alzheimer’s.
