JP Saxe, a soulful singer/songwriter who makes R&B-influenced pop music, was born on 23rd March 1994 in Toronto, Canada. He grew up in a family with a musical background as his grandfather, Janos Starker, was an award-winning Hungarian-born cellist.
Inspired by his grandfather, JP initially studied the cello as a teenager. However, after discovering jazz and R&B, he switched to the guitar and piano, and began writing his own songs. By the time he made it past his teenage, Saxe started performing weekly in Toronto. He would also post his songs online; which, eventually, caught the attention of producers in California.
The producers then invited him to record some of his creations, an that invitation resulted in Saxe relocating to Los Angeles. After moving to L.A, he released his debut single, Changed, in 2017 and by now, he has become one of the popular soulful musical artists.
