Jennie Rhodes is the widow of Gary Rhodes, an English restaurateur and television chef, who appeared on shows including MasterChef and Hell’s Kitchen.
Gary died on 26th November 2019 with his wife Jennie by his side. Gary’s family released a statement today, revealing the cause of his death. The statement read,
In order to end painful speculation surrounding the sudden passing of our beloved Gary Rhodes OBE, the Rhodes family can confirm that after a successful day shooting with Rock Oyster Media for ITV here in Dubai, Gary returned home in a very happy mood for a peaceful evening with his wife Jennie.
After dinner, Gary unfortunately collapsed in their residence and was rushed to hospital but unfortunately passed away due to Subdural Haematoma.

Jennie Rhodes who celebrated her 30th wedding anniversary with husband Gary this year was with him since he was a humble trainee chef at a local catering college in his hometown of Kent.
After dating one another for nearly 10 years, Gary tied the knot with Jennie in 1989. Out of their 3 decade long marital bond the couple have two sons, Samuel and George Rhodes.
From the very beginning of Gary’s career till his final day; Jennie was beside him, supporting.
Therefore, she was there to witness Gary’s grow from his first head chef job at the Castle Hotel to gaining his first Michelin star just at the age of 26.
