The journey of Survivor may not have been as rewarding in terms of gameplay for Joe Anglim. But, he sure won something more precious through the game!
Yes, Joe is a rich man now, as he finally got engaged to the love of his life, Sierra Dawn, who also is a Survivor alum.
Joe and Sierra got engaged today, and they broke the news of their engagement via their respective Instagram accounts.
Survivor’s favorites Joe and Sierra met during 2014’s Survivor: Worlds Apart but only started dating last year.
Their love didn’t take time to flourish and here we are witnessing them getting engaged.
How Did Joe Anglim Propose Sierra for Marriage?
Although they both were so in love, Sierra didn’t expect that Anglim would surprise her with a proposal anytime soon.
But Joe was in no state of waiting longer! While returning from his sister’s wedding in Arizona this past weekend; Joe and Sierra stopped on their way to Utah to camp for the night.
In an exclusive interview with People, Sierra expressed what they did when they arrived at the destination,
“We found the perfect swinging chair facing the mountains and the most beautiful sunset. There were even some deer running across a dirt road! We popped a bottle of rosé, and we were cheering in our clear plastic cups!”
As they started drinking, Joe began declaring his love for Sierra and she still was clueless,
“I was unknowingly interrupting him. He was explaining his love for me, and I would say, ‘yeah, baby. I love you too! But then he got off the swing, reached into his coat, and got on one knee.”
That is when she realized what Joe was about to do and things got emotional,
“I started crying, and he started crying! We were both crying.”
We would like to extend our congratulations to both Joe and Sierra for the beginning of a new chapter in their life.
Joe is still competing in the 38th season of Survivor: Edge of Extinction. trying his luck for the 3rd time.
Anglim is currently sent to the Edge of Extinction after getting blindsided by his Kama tribe in the 6th episode. He is still fighting to come back later in the game!
