Peter Capaldi began his acting career from the 1983 Burt Lancaster drama film, Local Hero, in which he portrayed the role of an oil executive. He further went on to play many diverse roles in films and TV shows such as Turtle Diary (1985) and the TV biopic John and Yoko—A Love Story (1985). After decades he is still going on and has finally landed himself a part in the film, The Green Lantern Corps scheduled to release in 2020.
