The Pretty Little Liar alum Shay Mitchell, shared the shattering news of her miscarriage via her Instagram story on Tuesday.
Shay shared a series of different photos from 2018 in her story that day. It was a compilation of what she experienced in the last year. Nearing the end of the slides, Shay wrote, “Lastly, although it was an amazing year, it didn’t come without some hardships.”
Then, she went on to share the picture of an ultrasound with a broken heart emoji!
The 31-year-old actress, singer, author, and model then posted a lengthy message mentioning how social media can be misleading to what a person really goes through in their life.
She also took the moment to express how the support from her 20 million fans uplift her, Shay wrote,
‘The support and affection that so many of you show me lifts me up during even my darkest days, one of which happened last year after I miscarried and lost the child of my hopes and dreams’
