Devon Erickson is an 18-year-old student, who has worked as a youth actor in Colorado and is currently suspected as one of the shooters in the K-12 STEM School shooting.
The next suspect in the shooting is identified as Alec Mckinney. Both the suspects made their first appearance in the court on Wednesday, 8th May 2019.
As of now, neither of the suspects are formally charged and both Devon and Alec are scheduled to appear in the court on Friday, separately.
What is K-12 STEM School Shooting? How many died?
One student was killed and eight others injured in a shooting at a K-12 school south of Denver on Tuesday.
Two shooters, both male students at the school, are in custody after a shooting at STEM School Highlands Ranch, a charter school in Highlands Ranch, according to Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock. One of the shooters is an adult and the other is a juvenile.
The deceased student is an 18-year-old boy, Kendrick Ray Castillo who died trying to rush one of the shooters; as per the statement, given by a witness.
The two shooters walked deep inside the school and started attacking students at around 2 p.m. People in the school almost immediately called the dispatch center, and police arrived at the school about two minutes later.
The police were on the scene almost immediately because there is a police substation a block away from the school.
