“Despacito” Crosses 6 Billion Views To Become First Video In YouTube History To Do So.

The highest-viewed video of all time, Despacito sets yet another record in the YouTube record books cracking another milestone.

On Feb. 24, the Spanish-language song by the artists, Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee crossed 6 billion views on YouTube on Feb 24, becoming the first to do so. Despacito also has recorded a single day milestone by gaining 25 million+ views in a single day. Since its release, Despacito still maintains an average view of 2.8 million views per day.

Despacito, also was the first YouTube video to cross 3 billion, 4 billion, and 5 billion views, and still stands way ahead of the second most-viewed YouTube video, Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You which has accumulated 4.1 billion views.

Despacito in English translates to slowly and the pace with which the videos gains its views and sets new records is anything but slow. After Adele’s Hello, Despacito is the second-fastest music video to hit 1 billion views and fastest to hit 2 billion, 3 billion, 4 billion, and 5 billion marks.
